Agents of Mayhem has been aping a lot of classic 70s and 80s TV shows with its trailers over the last few months, and this time it’s the turn of Magnum PI to be thrown into the homage-o-matic, putting Gat into a Hawaiian shirt and attaching a small furry rodent to his upper lip.
The character in the spotlight in this time is Gremlin, and I can’t help but feel that she might be better suited to a MacGyver homage. She’s used her ingenuity with machines to create some crazy weapons for Mayhem, such as the Gutterball Gun that electrifies everything its balls hit, or the Cabbit Bomb that turns enemies into explosive cabbit. Her weaponry is available to Mayhem’s agents through hidden caches around the city.
Agents of Mayhem is Volition’s spiritual successor to Saints Row, coming out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 15th in USA and August 18th in all other countries.
