Multiplayer horror hit Friday The 13th, has sold close to two million copies, the game’s developer has revealed. Since launching back in May, sales have hit 1.8m, far exceeding the expectations of IllFonic and Gun Media. It even topped last month’s PlayStation downloads chart in the US, beating Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Tekken 7.

In an interview with GameIndustry, studio head Wes Keltner talks about the game’s small development team, its runaway success, launch issues, and how fans and press responded to the game’s launch. It’s a great read and one in which Keltner assures fans that fixes are still coming to Friday The 13th along with new easter eggs and other features.
