SEGA has announced Sonic Mania will have a competition mode where players can go head to head using either Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles. Competition mode isn’t just about beating a level in the fastest time as the number of rings collected and the score racked up for defeating enemies will also be deciding factors.
Players will be able to change the rules of each competition though, with decisions like what items are in boxes and how many rounds occur. Sonic Mania is out on August 15th for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
