If you’re looking for a Payday 3 announcement, then Raid: World War II might just be the thing to tide you over. Developed by Lion Game Lion and Starbreeze Publishing, it’s made by some of the same guys that brought the popular heisting series to bear. Now they’re pulling the same jobs, but doing it as a bunch of cutthroat Allied POWs working behind enemy lines to steal treasures out from under the collective noses of the Third Reich.
I can’t actually remember hearing about this game before, but it’s out soon, coming to PC on 26th September and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 10th October in the US and 13th October in Europe and other regions.
It’s a co-op shooter with four different classes – Recon, Assault, Insurgent and Demolitions – each with a specific skill tree for various play styles, as well as a War Cry to buff the player or group. Beyond that, there’s plenty of character customisation, with the four heroes hailing from Britain, USA, the Soviet Union and even Germany, while weapons will have plenty of tweaks to be made to them.
An Operations Mode will string together modified versions of each raid, adding new storylines and extra objectives, while successfully completing raids will earn you Challenge Cards that act as modifiers to the difficulty. Expect to be replaying missions time and again, just as in Payday.

First time I’ve ever heard of this but it looks ace. Been having a blast recently playing co-op titles.

Sounds good. What was Payday 2’s launch content like? I picked it up quite a while later and still found the number of maps was lacking. I’ll be keeping an eye on this for sure.
