Despite being a race of horrible, skittering vermin, the Skaven are a surprisingly popular race in the Warhammer universe, and it’s now been confirmed (finally!) that they are the fourth and final playable race in Total War: Warhammer 2, alongside the High Elves, Dark Elves and Lizardmen.
Their two heroes, Queek Headtaker and Lord Skrolk, will set out to lead them to greatness, trying to fulfil a prophecy to bring pestilence to the New World as they burst out from their subterranean under-hives.
We’ve been hands on with the game recently and played with the Skaven, so expect to hear more on them and Total War: Warhammer 2 in general very, very soon.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is out for PC on 28th September.
