Catch The New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Here – Still Out Spring 2018

There’s no point beating around the bush this time, we all know what you’re here for, so here’s the new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 you’ve been waiting for:

The game will follow Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they pull jobs across the American heartland simply to survive. The 90 second trailer might be short, but it looks fantastic.

Having been announced almost a year ago, alongside a planned release at the end of 2017, the next we heard from the notoriously secretive developer was that the game’s release was being pushed back until Q2 2018. Not much has changed since then, with the game still set for a Spring 2018 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

  1. Uh oh, I’m predicting I’ll be on the menu several times for the alligators.

  2. Looks amazing. I can’t wait for this to come out.

  3. In the words of James Hetfield, nothing else matters.

  4. Looks amazing, but I’ll wait for the PC release I think!

  5. Why do the textures on the characters seem very poor at the start? They lack detail…I was expecting similar things to The Last of Us II but it just seems as though it was made on a PS3!

    • Rockstar games are always underwhelming in the visual department IMO. I remember playing GTA V on the PS3 and thinking it looked quite poor compared to other games at the time. Whilst nearly everyone else was raving about how it’s the best looking game they’ve ever seen. On a technical level, maybe, but even for an open world game, I didn’t think it was anything special at all.

    • I thought the first trailer last year looked a lot better.

I’ve never thought the characters in Rockstar’s games look that great, but the scenery is normally pretty impressive.

  6. 4K re-release on PS5 ???

Or thanks to the marketing deal with Sony, they’re doing 4K 30fps on the Pro so they need crappier textures…

    • The 4K on PS4 Pro simply doesn’t feature better textures than standard PS4 because they have the same amount of RAM. The One X has the capacity to go for higher quality textures, but doesn’t necessarily require that from games.

  7. Just seen a post by rockstar games on there fb page.. it says autumn 2018 :(

    • Weird. Saw Rockstar’s post on Facebook and it said Spring. :-\

  8. Am I the only person who doesn’t find the trailer remotely exciting?

    • I don’t doubt the game will be wonderful but the trailer was hugely underwhelming. Nothing I could get excited about at all.

      • Glad it not just me then. Even just a quick glimpse of a brothel would’ve been suffice – thats the least I’d expect from Rockstar.
Like you say though, I’m sure the game will be great.

  9. What are the chances they’ll do what they did with GTAV, release it and then abandon it? The first one had all that DLC including all that entertaining zombie nonsense.

Although if they do a GTAV and just add multiplayer stuff, that won’t necessarily be bad. Unlike GTAV, the MP stuff in RDR wasn’t rubbish.

And if they add horse racing, I’m not sure I can cope since the horse bollocks in that trailer have been pointed out.

Still, it’s looking good, and if it’s even close to how good the first one was, it could well be the best game since, well, since the first one.

    • There’s an enormous community of people still enjoying GTA Online. Just that it’s clearly not for you.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to see CactusCards or any other sort of transactional nonsense but that doesn’t stop GTA Online being fun.
