For Honor Season V Starts 15th February, Dedicated Servers Coming Soon

Big things are on the cards for For Honor in the near future, as season five starts on 15th February, bringing with it major updates, new training features, and some point during the season, the full release of dedicated servers. All of this is a free update to the game.

Damien Kieken, Game Director said, “Following our launch in February 2017, our team was focused on building on the initial experience by adding new heroes, modes and continuous gameplay updates. For the beginning of 2018, we want to focus on the core experience and address player feedback by prioritising online stability and hero balancing.”

Five heroes – Kensei, Conqueror, Highlander, Berserker and Nobushi – will be modified, from being balanced to getting new move sets, animations and more tweaks. This is something that will continue for other heroes in later seasons, as Ubisoft look to balance the game more thoroughly.

Helping you get used to the changes are three new training modes to learn both basic and advanced techniques. Apprentice Trials and Warrior Trials are accompanied by The Arena, where you can simply practice against specific heroes and moves.

While a date has yet to be set, the fifth season will see the launch of the game’s long promised dedicated servers. These were tested in December, and promise to remove resyncing, session migrations and NAT requirements that have dogged the game since its release.
