State Of Decay 2’s Collector’s Edition Has A Literal Thumb Drive In It, But Not The Game

At first glance, the State of Decay 2 collector’s edition looks pretty fun. You’ve got a full size latex zombie mask, which is perfect for when you need to look good for a job interview, a “thumb drive” USB stick that looks like a thumb, a Steelbook and other things… and then you read the small print and discover that it doesn’t actually have the game included.

This special edition is $69.99, but there’s no game in the box. Instead that will be a separate $29.99 purchase for the standard version or $49,99 for the ultimate edition, or you can get it through a subscription to Xbox Game Pass. All you get is what’s included in this photo, nothing more, nothing less:

Aside from that, State of Decay 2 is sounding pretty good, and will be out on 22nd May. Just don’t get suckered in by the Collector’s Edition.

  1. Personally, my way of describing a special edition of a game that doesn’t come with the actual game to be 1. just a collection of merchandise, and 2. bullshit.

  2. Ah, a release date. Yes!! :-)
