Worlds Adrift’s Community-Crafted MMO Enters Early Access In May

Bossa Studios’ latest game is a hugely ambitious one, in stark contrast to the likes of Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread which saw them thrown into the spotlight. Announced a good few years ago at the end of 2014, Worlds Adrift entered closed beta in the middle of 2017, but it’s now ready to spread its wings with a Steam Early Access release on 17th May 2018.

Set in a world that has been shattered by a long forgotten cataclysm, mankind lives on islands floating in the sky. The only way to get around is to build a ship that can fly through the game’s physics model, letting you and any crew mates hop from island to island. The ship’s design is up to you, as it what you actually set out to do in this MMO, whether it’s to build a little settlement to call your own, join or found Alliances, or simply head out to do battle in the sky.

Everything in the game has been created by the community, thanks to the Island Creator tool that they released two years ago and the efforts of those in the closed beta. It’s with good reason that they’re calling this the first community-created MMO.

Our on 17th May via Steam, it will be priced at £19.49 / $24.99 / €22.99.
