Former PlayStation exclusive creators Housemarque have teased their next game with an image on Twitter. It appears to be a V, but what it means is a mystery, the only thing I can think of is TV series about lizards wearing human skins who eat hamsters. Ask you parents if you have no idea what I’m on about.
Alternatively it could be the roman numeral for the number five but as this will be their twenty-fourth game so it’s certainly not a numbering system. What we do know is that it won’t be an arcade game, it won’t be PlayStation exclusive, and it wont cost £15. The tweet is tagged with #Soon #RebootDevelop #Housemarque, the RebootDevelop probable refers to the studio leaving the arcade genre and tackling something more meaty.
“It’s figuring out where the future market potential is going to be and how can we have an impact. We like to take different genres, mostly in arcade games now, and put a Housemarque twist on it. Can we do that beyond the genres we’ve been looking at until now?” said Housemarque’s Mikael Haveri back in November last year.
