It’s a little bit Inception to have a test server for a pre-release Game Preview version of a game, and yet here we are. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One now has a Public Test Server version of the game where Bluehole can test out new additions and more quickly iterate on the game on console. The headline act for its launch is the addition of the desert Miramar map.
Anyone who owns PUBG on Xbox One can now download the PTS – search for PUBG Test Server on the Microsoft Store and savour the 10.7GB download – and dive into the desert at select times. Being a test server, Bluehole are presumably trying to ensure there’s enough people playing to make it worthwhile, so the schedule is as follows:
U.S. (PDT) SCHEDULE
- 4/25, 4/26, 4/27: Servers available 5pm PDT through 11pm PDT
- 4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 11am PDT through 11pm PDT
EUROPE (CEST) SCHEDULE
- 4/26, 4/27, 4/28: Servers available 2am CEST through 8am CEST
- 4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 8pm CEST through 8am CEST
If you’re not a European night owl, the first real chance to play is Saturday night.
