Update 23:30 07/06 – In response to a query by Windows Central on the initial reports, Microsoft issued the following statement confirming the delay of the game and putting it into a new February 2019 release window:
“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of “Crackdown 3” has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, “Crackdown 3” will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on “Crackdown 3″ this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.”
The original story follows:
Kotaku are reporting that Crackdown 3 may have been delayed yet again, citing “two people familiar with the game’s release plans.” The game was originally revealed at E3 2014 and the missed it’s first release window of November 2017 then getting pushed to early this spring this year, which again it it seems to have missed. The sources suggest the game will now be released next year.
If the rumour is true then Microsoft’s release schedule for this year is looking very quiet indeed, will that change at E3?
UPDATE: Eurogamer say “sources close to the project have this morning confirmed the report.”
