Fallout 76’s DLC Will Be Free, But There Will Be Paid For Cosmetic Items

Bethesda are trying a new(ish) way to monetise their post launch content for Fallout 76 with all the major DLC packs being available for free. The development of the DLC will be paid for by the sale of cosmetic items within the game.

This information was revealed as part of the Noclip documentary The Making of Fallout 76, which you can view below.

Bethesda have tried cosmetic DLC before but without much success, I’m sure you remember the famous Horse Armour from Oblivion, so lets hope they get it right this time.
