The Nintendo eShop Is Having An E3 Sale

Come for the discounts on Nintendo’s first party games, stay for the more appealing discounts on everything else. That’s how I typically treat Nintendo’s eShop sales, where their own games tend to hold onto an awful lot of their RRP, and it’s true here. The best offers aren’t on Nintendo’s own, but on the third parties and indies.

I mean, Breath of the Wild is still £44.99, and Splatoon 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors are £33.49. You’re better off looking for indie gems like Golf Story (£8.90), The Sexy Brutale (£8.99), and Nine Parchmetns (£8.99), or heavily reduced third party headliners like FIFA 18 (£18.14). The Wii U and 3DS also get in on the act, but even there you won’t be getting older Smash Bros. games for what you’d expect last gen titles to go for.

  1. Some decent prices here. Picked up a copy of Golf Story and Overcooked alongside the Splatoon2 DLC :)

    • Is Overcooked playable as a single player experience? Thanks.

      • Personally I don’t think so. I mean, you can play it that way but its outstanding in local co op

  2. A bit pointless if you can’t add wii points to your account anymore. So many WiiWare games I had on my to buy list that I never got round to getting. Shame.

  3. Welp. I bought Splatoon 2 and so did four of my friends. I’d also recommend Blossom Tales to anyone that likes top-down Zelda adventures.

  4. Mario Tennis on the GBC still holds up surprisingly well.
Picked it up in the sale and have been having a blast reliving the 90’s!
