This New F1 2018 Video Shows Off The Halo

A new video for F1 2018 has surfaced showing off some gameplay featuring the sport’s new halos.

If you are wondering how Formula One has made its way into the kingdom of heaven, don’t, because in this case the term “halo” is referring to the large titanium semi-circle visible across the top of the screen. (I was hoping Beyoncé was going to be in the game – Tuffcub)

It’s meant to protect the driver’s head from horrific damage that can occur when crashing at hundreds of miles per hour, yet it is still considered a controversial change in F1 circles. If you want to see it in action, click play below and skip forward a few minutes.

F1 2018 will release on 24th August, the weekend of the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix.

  1. Well given the latitude they’ve been awarded in removing the centre column, it’s a massive shame they can’t remove the halo in TV cam on or at least ghost it out.

  2. That’s hilarious that it’s meant to be a licensed F1 game and they remove part of that god awful halo :D If only they could do that for real :|

    • I got the impression from the video that the centre post of the halo is selectable.

  3. The most important question about the game wasn’t asked…….Are there any grid girls?
