It appears that nothing, not even an Amazon Prime sale, can stop Cash Bandicoot as Activision’s remake has held on to the top of the charts for a fourth week in a row which makes it twelve weeks at the top in total.
Amazon Prime Day did impact the charts with the games bundled with Xbox One consoles getting a boost with Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 3 both bouncing back in to the top ten. The Last of Us Remastered also re-enters at no.26 as part of the PlayStation Hits budget range, the only new entry is Sonic Mania Plus at number five. That game sold particularly well on Switch with 52% of sales for the Nintendo console.

Seeing the Crash collection at the top of the chart never fails to make me smile. Really pleased the series/genre has had this resurgence.
Would be interested to see Octopath’s sales figures if Square could actually keep up with demand. Sounds like it’s proving very popular.
