Everyone sits up and takes notice when FromSoftware announces a game these days, and the reveal of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was one of the big surprises to come out of E3 this year. Now Activision and FromSoftware have pinned a release date on the game of 22nd March for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The game casts you as a Shinobi, seeming to emphasise stealth, steel on steel sword combat and ninja skills through the game. You have a number of Prosthetic Tools, such as a grappling hook to get you around the world much faster, and create much more fluid exploration and traversal than From’s last decade of games.
And of course, should you die, you’ll be resurrected, but this time you can bring yourself back to life on the spot, even using this to your advantage.
Also announced was the Collector’s Edition of the game, which includes a 7″ Shinobi statue, steelbook and game, art book, map, digital soundtrack and some replica in-game coins, so you can make it rain, ninja style.
