New Super Mario Bros. U Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

Nintendo’s intent on porting practically every Wii U game it can to Switch, and after plenty of rumours New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has been confirmed, with an 11th January release date penned in.

It’s basically all the content from the game on Wii U, including the Super Luigi U expansion that was part of the ill fated Year of Luigi. However, you’ve also got Nabbit and Toadette as playable characters, who will turn into Peachette when grabbing the Super Crown.

One of the things that’s sure to be missing, though, is the asymmetrical multiplayer mode where one person had the Wii U gamepad and could create platforms to help (or hinder) other players.
