Would you believe that Red Dead Redemption 2 stuck it out at the top of the UK retail charts? You would? Well, that’s exactly what happened, as the fastest selling entertainment product ever continued in very strong fashion. While its first week couldn’t match GTA V’s retail record, its second week has proved to be the biggest second week a game has ever had, despite a 51% drop in sales.
While most of the top 10 are the same, Lego Harry Potter’s release on Xbox One and Switch saw the game re-enter the charts at number 8, while Football Manager 2019 managed to sneak into 9th, despite PC gaming being largely digital at this point.

To say it inhabits a niche setting, is paced pleasantly slowly and doesn’t involve lasers swords, fast cars, space ships or orcs its pretty nuts that this is doing so well! Nuts in a good way of course and I hope all the big publishers are paying attention, we love it because it’s bloody good!!
