The Classic Cheat Codes Work In Spyro Reignited Trilogy

In a lovely little surprise, it turns out that many of the cheat codes from the original Spyro games actually work in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. It means that, amongst other things, you can swap out Spyro’s natural purple and dye him all the colours of the rainbow.

To get at the cheat codes, it’s time to head back to GameFAQs for a bit of a refresher on what you can do, but not all of them work. The limiting factor, it seems, is whether or not a cheat code includes the circle button before the final button press, which backs you out from the pause menu. That means that the Squid Skateboard doesn’t work, for one, and neither would upping the game difficulty or or giving Spyro and Sparx more hit points, but you can still make Spyro 2D or give him a big head to suit his inflated ego using the Spyro 2 cheat codes.

  1. Definitely trying all of these out.

Aw, even the cheats are old school. If this wasn’t a remake of an old game, they’d be charging us £2.99 for each skin colour.
