The $200 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition was advertised with a number of physical extras including a a wearable T-51B Power Armor Helmet and a Canvas West Tek Duffel Bag. That was the official description, a canvas bag, it looked quite rugged and you can see it here in the left of the picture.
Unfortunately that’s not what shipped. The collectors edition came with a rather cheap looking nylon bag, and as you might expect, people are unhappy.
A post on Reddit includes an response from Bethesda customer support in regards to a complaint about the bag. “The bag shown in the media was a prototype and too expensive to make,” is the reply,”We aren’t planning to do anything about it.” Mods on Reddit seem to think the email is legitimate, as is another similar response from Bethesda.
This is the bag that was shipped, it does look rather cheap and flimsy.
Bethesda have yet to comment, Twitter on the other hand, has.
I regret buying your game. The experience is poor and the game is unplayable due to ongoing technical issues.

And there was never any attempt from yourself, or third party retailers, to contact the customers and let them know that the duffel bag had been changed from the announced canvas to the cheaper nylon.

@DCDeacon @bethesda I'm so happy to see I'm not the only one upset about the "Canvas" bag that was advertised. This thin nylon fabric (mine containing holes) seems like false advertising. Hopefully we as a community can rally and push for compensation :/ #fo76 #Fallout76 pic.twitter.com/a36Kt0DF7Q

I feel Bethesda need a hug right now. Quickly followed by shouting “WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!” in their face, but a hug first.
