Crackdown 3’s Wrecking Zone multiplayer mode will not have party function at launch

Crackdown 3 is launching this Friday and it feels like it has been a long journey from announcement to this conclusion. However, it seems that Crackdown 3 will be missing a certain feature when it comes to the game’s Wrecking Zone multiplayer mode. That function that won’t be present is friends being able to party up to play Wrecking Zone together, which will be missing Crackdown 3’s launch window.

In a statement to Eurogamer Microsoft stated:

“Players will soon be able to take full advantage of the Xbox platform’s Party features so they can experience the fully destructible environments in Crackdown 3 Wrecking Zone with friends.”

The party function will instead be added later on in a title update in tandem with other post-launch content that is set to be released for Crackdown 3.

  1. hmmm, bit of a disaster isn’t it? they had ample time to sort this out plus the delays,,, five years in the making, sad state of affairs…

    • It just beggars belief that they’ve come this far, spent that much time on it, aaaaannndd this is the result!

  2. Oh dear! For a system boasting the best “online” that is quite a feature to exclude.
