Dead of Alive 6 will get a ‘Deluxe Demo’ next weekend

A normal demo or beta isn’t good enough for Dead or Alive fans, oh no. Next weekend Team Ninja are releasing a time-limited Dead or Alive 6 Deluxe Demo which, at least in marketing terms, is far superior to your usual fare.

Available for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscribers, the demo will be playable from 22nd to 24th February. While such a tight window of opportunity might make you scoff at the ‘Deluxe’ label, it does feature a pretty comprehensive selection of content. All 24 characters will be included (with all the hairstyles and glasses to use), and you’ve got online ranked and lobby matches, free training, a tutorial, command training and combo challenge. The only thing that they seem to be holding back for launch is the story mode, but the demo includes the story’s introduction.

In addition to the demo’s announcement, Team Ninja revealed the upcoming Dead or Alive World Championshihp. Qualifiers will take place in North America, Europe, and Asia, with each region’s top players then going on to the Grand Finals in Japan.

Dead or Alive 6 will be out for PS4, Xbox One and PC on 1st March.
