Codemasters brought all the fun and frolics of hardcore rallying back at the end of last month with the release of Dirt Rally 2.0, but that was just the beginning for this game, with the company announcing prior to release that there would be seasons of DLC to follow it up. Season One is getting underway next week on 12th March.
Content updates will come on a fortnightly cadence, starting with the Citroën C4 Rally and ŠKODA Fabia Rally. The rest of Season One will then play out as follows:
– Week 3: Monte Carlo Rally, Special Livery
– Week 5: BMW M1 Procar Rally, Open Manta 400, Special Livery
– Week 7: Sweden Rally
– Week 9: Ford Focus RS Rally 2007, Subaru Impreza, Special Livery
– Week 11: Germany Rally
As you can see, it’s a mixture of new cars and liveries and revamping locations and stages from the original Dirt Rally. Monte Carlo, Sweden and Germany are the two to feature in Season One, each of which has been updated with the new lighting engine and gameplay surrounding tyre choices and track degradation.
With the DLC or without, the game is great fun, as you can read in our Dirt Rally 2.0 review. It’s out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
