The new Doom movie was recently delayed so it could get an extra polish, allegedly because Universal thought it was rather good and deserved a little more attention. We now have the first trailer for the reboot and it looks suspiciously like a retread of the first Doom movie but with rather less budget.
Once again again a portal to hell has been opened on a remote Martian base and nasty things are coming out of the walls. However, we have a female lead for Doom: Annihilation with Amy Manson picking up the BFG rather than The Rock.

I rather enjoyed the first movie, it was utter rubbish but it had Dexter Fletcher being fused to his wheelchair and turned in a demon and a five minute section were it goes first person just like the game. The new movie just looks a bit cheap and Bethesda don’t seem to have been involved at all.
