You know the drill; a free to play game’s heading toward release, so it has to have a public alpha and beta, sometimes with closed and open stages, before heading to a wider release, but then there’s an early access stage with a couple months leading up to a full 1.0 release.
World of Warships: Legends, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One spin off from Wargaming’s World of Warships, is having a second Closed Beta test between 22nd-24th March before reaching that penultimate Early Access stage next month on 16th April.
The latest builds add in new features like a British faction, 14 more ships, new lighting effects and Russian and French language support.
After the beta, you’ll be able to buy into the Early Access release with Premium, Deluxe, and Ultimate bundles featuring three different tiers of content, up to two months of Premium time and four rare, powerful warships. Wargaming has often got a bit of flak for its monetisation options, and with World of Warships: Legends featuring similar options, it’s almost bound to do the same, but you can gain in-game rewards like Premium Currency, Boosters and cosmetics by registering.
