While it’s Fire Emblem’s turn to shine at Nintendo and the Advance Wars series slumbers, a number of developers have been trying to steal the cutesy turn-based strategy series’ crown. Wargroove will have hit the spot for many, but Tiny Metal was another pretender to the throne back in 2017. Now it’s getting a sequel, Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble, coming to Nintendo Switch this spring.
Promising to be “bigger, better, and more metal” than before, it features 23 unit types, 39 campaign missions and has had plenty of other refinements, such as now having four difficulty modes and bonus challenges.
If you picked up the first game, this sequel features familiar faces, but there’s a new protagonist, Commander Wolfram of the White Fangs. Her search for her brother sees he battling against the Dinoldans to stop them uncovering ancient technology and getting an advantage in the war.
