Sea of Thieves has been resurgent over the last few months, as Twitch streamers rediscovered its freeform madcap delights. Rare have stuck with the game since launch, bringing some big content updates along the way, and the anniversary update promises plenty more to do when it arrives on 30th April.
The comes in two halves, with The Arena a new purely competitive area for pirates to test their mettle against one another, and Tall Tales – Shores of Gold a new storyline taking you across the open seas. The trailer hints at following stars, deadly traps and puzzles to solve. You’ll also be able to go fishing, both with a little fishing rod and with harpoons to try and chase your own Moby Dick.
