A new TV spot for Mortal Kombat 11 gives us our first look at returning fan favourite, Kitana. Although we don’t get to see her in action, the live action/CG teaser shows off her new character design.
Having made her debut in 1993’s Mortal Kombat II, her official bio reads:
The 10,000-year-old princess of Edenia grew up believing she was Shao Kahn’s biological daughter and served as one of his deadliest warriors. When Kitana learned the truth, she fought against Shao Kahn’s attempted conquest of Earthrealm, eventually dying in battle. After being resurrected as an evil revenant version of her former self, Kitana now rules the Netherrealm alongside revenant Liu Kang, dedicated to the destruction of all the realms.
Kitana will join a host of both new and returning characters in Mortal Kombat 11. The game’s time-bending story will see players revisit the events of past games as they go up against Kronika, MK11’s main antagonist.
