PlayStation 5 has ‘special sauce’

Hey mate, you want some special sauce? Yeah? It’s top grade stuff mate, got it off that bloke who was that Judgement game, got a call from him and he was in a right panic, screaming down the blower at me. “Clear the special sauce out of my apartment, get round there now!” he shouts, so I had to oblige didn’t I.

Anyway, not heard from him in a while so I guess he doesn’t want it anymore so it’s your lucky day. Fifty quid, yeah?

What do mean not that sauce? Another kind of special sauce? Ah I know the kind you mean, the special sauce in the PlayStation 5, you heard about that, right? No? here’s the low down.

Advanced Micro Devices, that’s AMD to every mucker round here, say 2019 is going to be a right chunky year for them and their missus. “We view it as a significant product cycle, and as we go three to five years forward, we have a lot of things in the hopper,” said that there CEO Lisa Su.

AMD are one of the companies making new bits and bobs that go in the PlayStation 5 y’see, and they’re also working with that there Google on their fancy-schmancy streaming system, but it’s PlayStation they’re really cock-a-hoop about.

“What we have done with Sony is really architect something for their application, for their special sauce,” adds my gal Lisa. “It’s a great honor for us. We’re really excited about what the next generation PlayStation will do.”

So the bad news mate is that I can’t get any of Sony’s special sauce until next year. What can I say, takes time to get the quality gear doesn’t it? It’s top grade stuff though, the highest resolution you can get and boy does it load fast, it’s an almost instantaneous hit.

Come back to me around April 2020 and might be able to take a pre-order, ok?

  1. A lot of people don’t realise that Sony are very good at silicon chip architecture. The chip in the PS3 was way ahead of it’s time and a lot of the CMOS chips in cameras are made by Sony.

  2. Let’s just hope this isn’t another PS3 situation!
