The Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise has been a bit hit and miss, with Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 only really serving up an okay experience when it released in 2017, scoring 6/10 in our review. Soon after its release CI Games conceded that trying to market Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 had been a mistake, and would use the lessons learned to help with limiting its scope for the next game the studio would develop. That next game has now been confirmed as Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, and this time the Siberian wilderness is where the battle takes place.
The aim of Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts is to take the series in a new direction with supplying more open ended missions in focused areas, meaning players can take out their targets in a number of ways. Within these contracts are side missions that can increase the amount of payout you get. If you’ve seen the teaser you are not the only character out hunting enemies and looking to complete contracts. It seems while players are working out ways to approach scenarios they too are being stalked through Siberia, so you’ll have to be keeping an eye on your surroundings for dangers that will creep up on you. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will have multiplayer modes on top of its single player campaign.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is scheduled to release this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
