We were expecting Xbox Game Pass for PC to go live soon, especially as some games have already been made available in a list that was discovered earlier. Now the service is live to join and Microsoft has put out an introductory offer of joining for just £1/$1.
Update: The eventual price for Game Pass on PC will be £7.99 per month, just as it is on Xbox. It seems that some games will cross the divide to Xbox One as well, but for access to both libraries you need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. While the service is in beta on PC, it will cost £3.99 per month and with the first trial month costing £1.
That’s a 75% discount as the standard price will be £3.99 a month, which is not bad at all considering the games that will be available on the service. Some of those games have been revealed and you can see what’s there below.

Games like Ori & The Will of the Wisps, Gears 5, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection all have coming soon banners on them so we’ll likely get some more information about them tonight. We’ll also likely get some more confirmation of games added to the PC version of Xbox Game Pass and what to expect of the service in the future.

More than 100 games are available on the Xbox Game Pass for PC with some listing above and additional games including Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. If you want Game Pass on PC and Xbox One then you can now get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which is priced at £10.99 a month, though right now that pass is also available for £1.

A smaller library than I’d expected to start with, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing when seeing the lower price. It puts it close to the monthly price of Origin Access as well.

I can’t get this conveniently to play on my PS4 in my living room, without any serious tinkering, right..? A shame, at that price I’d have a look at Forza and Metro Exodus, even if there’s not much else that interests me on that list (or that I’ve not got already).
It’s been a very long time, that I borrowed the very first XBox from a friend for two weeks or so and played Halo 2 and some Forza game back then. I found these so poor in comparison to the PlayStation 2 games at that time that I never went anywhere near anything XBox ever since. They probably have made some progress since then… ;-)
