Devolver Digital rip off their own games with Devolver Bootleg and an Enter the Gungeon arcade cabinet

The expected surreal gibbering madness of Devolver’s E3 show was backed up with some equally batty announcements. You might have expected these to be off-hand jokes, but no, they’ve backed up their words with actions!

Devolver Bootleg is out right now, featuring eight off-brand rip-offs of Devolver Digital games. It includes Enter the Gun Dungeon, Hotline Milwaukee, Ape Out Jr. and Shooty Boots. Of course, the corporate monsters that they are, Devolver have figured out a tricky way of getting money out of this, and are charging £3.99 for the game – if you head to, it’ll take you straight to the Steam page – but with a 1% discount that ends on 16th June.

Beyond that, Devolver are also tackling a brand new frontier for the company that’s both forward and backward, and probably sideways looking. Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead is a legit two-player light gun arcade cabinet set in the popular Enter the Gungeon universe.

You’ll be able to unlock new and ridiculous weapons, dodge roll past incoming fire and battle against familiar enemies form the Gungeon, at your local arcade or at home in 2020.

They’re not even kidding with this. This cabinet will set you back and eye-watering $4,999 – luckily there are some financing options – it’s a fully functional arcade cabinet with a 43″ LCD monitor, buttons, guns and coin mechanism, and it’s all wrapped around with some gorgeous artwork.

For rich Gungeon-heads, you can head here for more.
