Latest update for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker adds Labo VR support

Nintendo is continuing to push the content that is compatible with its Labo kit as today a free update has added VR support to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The game joins the list of Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which are all also compatible with the Labo VR headset. For Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker the VR mode gives a little bit of extra content for free.

That content includes being able to view the course selection map in VR view, four courses that have been designed to be played with the VR headset, and a mode in which you can go on rails in a kart and throw things at enemies by the looks of things. It’s not a bad set of content that’s been made available and could provide some decent entertainment for a little while. Of course Labo VR isn’t going to be as robust as more expensive headsets, with some issues surrounding it.

If you’re yet to play Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker or want to know more you can see what Dom said about the Switch version.

Gloriously cheerful, charming and enthralling, it’s only diminishing features are its slightly short length and lack of difficulty for seasoned players.
