Sony introduces PS4 Tournaments: Challenger Series which is open to everyone

Sony has revealed a new series of tournaments that are open to everyone on PS4 and they are called the Challenger Series. These tournaments are playable from home and will be running regularly, giving people opportunities to win prizes. The first tournament will start on August 6th and will feature Mortal Kombat 11. This will be followed by the likes of Battlefield V, FIFA 20, Warface, and other games as they release.

These Challenger series are seasonal so games will rotate if you miss out the first time, and each of these tournaments will have stages. In the Mortal Kombat 11 players will have to win three of four matches before advancing to the next stage. As stages advance the difficulty will ramp up too. Stage 3 is the final stage per tournament. Prizes will vary from dynamic themes, in-game items, and up to cash prizes. To join these tournaments you need to go to the Events tab on the PS4 and look for the Challenger Series under tournaments.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. I hope there’s going to be a lot of different genres and not just the usual multi-player ones, not that I’ll be winning any prizes.

  2. I have just entered for Mortal Kombat on the 6th at 16:45
    Wish me luck!
