Iron Harvest has a new trailer fresh from Gamescom

We are rather a long way away from the release date of Deep Silvers new RTS game Iron Harvest, as it is scheduled to arrive on September 1st 2020, but that hasn’t stopped them releasing a new trailer for Gamescom 2019. Unfortunately there’s no much gameplay, take a look.

Here’s a synopsis of the game.

At the dawn of the 20th century, shortly after the end of the Great War, the world is full of secrets and mysteries, of opportunities and challenges. Tradition clashes with scientific and technological progress, while Europe is still recovering from the brutal battles of the World War. Iron Harvest is a real-time strategy game (RTS) set in the alternate reality of 1920+, just after the end of the Great War.

There will be three major factions in the game which are the Saxony Empire, The Polania Republic, and Rusviet. Saxony surrendered during the war and a lot of people are unhappy with that conclusion, especially since the empire is one of the most powerful in the world. Polania is a smaller nation that is stuck between Saxony and Rusviet, with much of the population working in agriculture. Following the war some areas are still occupied by Rusviet forces. Rusviet is a heavily industrialised nation though unrest is occurring as Tsar Nikolai and Rasputin vie for power.

Players will use regular soldiers, heroes, and mechs to fight in various scenarios in different sandbox levels. It is up to you how you reach objectives through a dynamic story.

The game was originally announced for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and during Gamescom it was confirmed that the game will be coming to PC across various platforms including Steam and GOG at launch. However, mentions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions seem to have dried up, perhaps the game has now moved to the next generation of consoles.
