If the name Project Awakening: Arise doesn’t ring many bells then don’t worry, it was announced last year at the Tokyo Game Show for PlayStation 4 but has not had much press over on this side of the world. That may be about to change as The Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board has rated a trial version of the game for release.
This trial version will allow players to get a taste of the combat and action available from Project Awakening, an action role-playing game featuring photorealistic graphics. In Project Awakening: Arise,…
Unfortunately that’s where the description cuts off so we don’t know any more about the trial version. The trailer is rather impressive, check it out.
Details for the game are very thin on the ground, the official site has just this single descriptive line, “It’s time for the wolves of war to awaken. Cygames presents a new action RPG for the PlayStation 4.”
The Tokyo Game Show is just round the corner and starts on Thursday 12th September so I would place money on the trial being released sometime during the show. However, after missing E3 and Gamescom, Sony have announced that they will not be holding a press conference at the 2019 Tokyo Game Show either. There will still be a presence on the show floor and there also be a ‘PlayStation presents LIVE SHOW’ from the booth in Exhibition Hall 5.
Sony have said they will showcase the Final Fantasy VIII remake, Nioh 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but there is no mention of Death Stranding which is odd considering it’s out in two months. Last year’s show brought us a new Death Stranding trailer but as three of those were released at Gamescom I wouldn’t expect another one. 2018 also saw new trailers for God Eater 3, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon, and Kingdom Hearts III, what will this year hold?
