As if Monster Hunter World: Iceborne wasn’t already jam packed full of content, Capcom has plans to roll out free updates following the expansion’s release.
The publisher announced that Iceborne’s “Title Update 1” will be launching next month in October. It will bring the fearsome Rajang literally kicking and screaming into Monster Hunter World.
The trailer shows us a brief glimpse of this newest monest, which originally appeared way back in Monster Hunter 2 and, by extension, Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
The Rajang is a strange mix between primate, ogre, and demon, considerably smaller and more humanoid than most of the other endgame beasts you encounter.
It’s particularly well known for its fast and savage attacks when enraged, as well as spewing lightning from its gob and its fur turning gold.
Those wanting to get a leg up on the Rajang can do some homework in advance of its arrival next month.
If Capcom doesn’t intend on tweaking its design much, hunters will want to equip armour with strong thunder resistance with the ability to negate Thunderblight. Ice element weapons should serve you well so make sure you’ve got one crafted ready for this upcoming fight.
So far, Capcom hasn’t revealed anything else coming as part of Title Update 1, though players who manage to skin themselves a Rajang can expect a new armour set and hopefully a handful of new weapons to grind for.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne launched on September 6th, effortlessly scoring a 9/10 in our review. Here’s what Dom had to say:
Monster Hunter: World is deservedly Capcom’s most successful game to date, and the Iceborne expansion amplifies everything positive about it. More incredible monsters, new lands and a wealth of ways to upgrade your Hunter will have fans in rapture, while new players yet to experience the delights of monster hunting can rest assured that there’s never been a better time to join the hunt.
