Those in the UK will be able to get their hands on the newest update as of tomorrow afternoon. PlayStation 4 players go first at 2pm, followed by Xbox One at 3pm, the PC/Steam at 4pm.
Right before the drop, expect the servers to go offline as Ubisoft conducts server maintenance while rolling out the Ember Rise update.
Year 4 Season 3 introduces two new operators, each with their own unique gadget. Peruvian attacker Amaru can use her Garra hook to grapple through windows and hatches while her Mexican CTU partner, Goyo, can place Volcan shields. They act like your regular deployable defences though have built in explosives which can be shot out.
Sadly, Ember Rise doesn’t offer up a new map for the world’s best operators to test their skills but it has the next best thing. Ubisoft Montreal has reworked the Kanal map from the base version of Siege, transforming it from a disjointed maze into something way more fluid and viable in competitive play.
This new content can be accessed by anyone who owns a copy of the game. You won’t need to do anything to unlock the reworked Kanal map though the two new operators will either require in-game or premium currency. It’s worth noting that for the first 7 days of each new season, new operators are exclusive to those who own the Year Pass.
