Activision has confirmed that it will be releasing Call of Duty Mobile on October 1st for both Android and iOS devices. This isn’t a strategy title but a full free to play experience of the first person multiplayer action that is familiar on consoles. Modes included within include team deathmatch, domination, frontline, gun game, search and destroy, and 100 player battle royale.
There will be content included from Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare as well, along with classic characters like Soap, Ghost, and Alex Mason all being unlockable. Players can create up to five custom loadouts featuring primary and secondary weapons, three perks, soldier type, operator skill which gives three scorestreaks, lethal equipment, and tactical equipment. You may want to switch it up across the maps which include Nuketown, Hijacked, and Crash.
Battle Royale will be playable in first or third person and will include vehicles like ATVs, rafts, and helicopters with modes including solo, duos, and quads. With this being a free to play title there will no doubt be a lot of things put behind paywalls. Those of you already playing in Canada, Australia, and Peru fear not as none of your progress is going to be wiped away.
If you want to get your Call of Duty experience sooner don’t forget that from today the cross play beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is live to try out.
