Bethesda have announced Fallout 1st, a premium subscription service for Fallout 76 that gives you extra benefits. “Ever since Fallout 76 launched, we have consistently worked to improve and evolve the experience based on your feedback. That’s why we’re excited to launch Fallout 1st, a premium membership,” said the publishers.
Subscription to Fallout 1st will cost you £11.99 for one months membership, or £99.99 for a whole year, a 36% discount over the monthly rate.
The main benefit is a private world for you and seven friends.
If you’re a Fallout 1st member, how you use your private world is completely up to you: Invite up to seven of your friends at a time (eight total people per private world) to join you in taking on the dangers of post-apocalyptic West Virginia, or play completely solo. All gameplay remains the same from Adventure Mode and all characters entering the Fallout 1st private worlds must be existing characters.
The ruleset, including rewards & drop rates, is the same as Adventure Mode on a Public World and cannot be changed so you won’t be able to set up your own world and farm it for drops. However, “Private Worlds are not persistent and once shutdown, will need to be started by the Owner again,” say Bethesda. Private worlds will will evolve alongside public worlds with new features and areas.
