Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is out now for iOS

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is out now for iOS, bringing the popular CCG spin-off to smartphones for the first time. Gwent is a free download, and to celebrate the launch, anyone who logs in on iOS before 5th November, 11:59 AM CET will get a free Welcome Pack from the in-game store.

Gwent was an exceedingly popular part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt when it came out in 2015, being spun off into a standalone release last year on PC and consoles. Adapting the game for iOS, CD Projekt Red have retained all the features of the PC version of the game, but reimagined the controls for a touch interface.

The iOS release also has cross-progression and cross-play. You’re able to share progress and purchases between iOS and PC through a player’s GOG account, while iOS can battle opponents on all other platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Android version of the game is still in the works, currently set for a Q1 2020 launch.
