Black Friday 2019 – The best PS4, Xbox One, PSVR & Switch console deals

We’ve had a good run up to Black Friday itself this year, with almost everyone seeming to kick off their discounting and sales a week early. Between PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles for 300 bob and sales on Microsoft, PlayStation and eShop stores, we’ve had the lot.

All of those offers are still live, but what about the rest? What about the regular console bundles? What about VR? Let’s find out.

Note: While we will be updating this post, offers may come and go quite quickly. All offers are valid at the time of writing.

Xbox One S Bundles – £119.99 and up

The best new consoles deals out there this year belong to Microsoft. The Xbox One S All-Digital with a three game bundle is heavily discounted from £199.99 down as low as £109.99 (rumoured), though you’ll find it more commonly at £129.99. For a disc drive, the Xbox One S bundles can be found at £169.99.

  • Xbox One S All-Digital – £109.99 (Tesco in-store rumoured)

PlayStation 4 Bundles – £199.99 and up

Though it’s the PS4’s last Black Friday as Sony’s lead console (we assume), we aren’t seeing historic low prices for the base console – that was 2017’s £180 price point. Still, you can get bundles including a 500GB PlayStation 4 Slim and either FIFA 20, COD: Modern Warfare, Death Stranding or a second DualShock 4 and a Fortnite Neo Versa bundle for £199.99, a £50 saving.

Those prices are now in effect, though retailers like Argos and Currys seem to be waiting until tomorrow to push them live.

  • PlayStation 4 500GB – £189.99 (Tesco in-store rumoured)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB w/ FIFA 20 – £199.99 (Game*, Amazon, Smyths, ShopTo)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB w/ COD Modern Warfare – £199.99 (Game*, Amazon, Smyths, ShopTo)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB w/ dual controllers and Neo Versa Fortnite bundle – £199.99 (Amazon, Smyths)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB w/ Death Stranding – £199.99 (Game*, ShopTo)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB w/ Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4 & The Last of Us Remastered – £199.99 (Amazon)

Nintendo Switch – £184.95 and up

It’s a boring Black Friday for prospective Nintendo Switch buyers. The recently released Switch Lite has shored up the low end of the market for Nintendo, and you can expect to see just a £10 saving on these colourful handhelds to £189.99, or find them bundled with a game. The regular Nintendo Switch is sticking to £279.99, but might have a game or Labo kit bundled in by retailers.

Shop around, but here’s the best that we’ve found:

  • Nintendo Switch Lite – £179 (Tesco in-store rumoured)
  • Nintendo Switch Lite Turquoise – £184.95 (The Game Collection)
  • Nintendo Switch Lite Yellow – £184.95 (The Game Collection)
  • Nintendo Switch Lite & Pokémon Sword/Shield bundles (all colours) – £219.99 (Currys)
  • Nintendo Switch (improved battery) with Labo Variety Kit – £279.99 (Game)

PlayStation VR – £179.99 and up

Just like with the PS4, it’s not the most exciting year for PlayStation VR offers. Sony are dropping the Starter Pack to £179.99 and the Mega Pack to £209.99. Game are the best of the bunch here, with added games in each case and those two months of NowTV.

  • PlayStation VR Starter Pack w/ PS VR Worlds, Resident Evil 7 & 2mo NowTV – £179.99 (Game)
  • PlayStation VR Starter Pack w/ PS VR Worlds– £179.99 (Amazon, Smyths, ShopTo)
  • PlayStation VR Mega Pack 2019 w/ Astro Bot, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7, Everybody’s Golf VR & PS VR Worlds – £209.99 (Game)
  • PlayStation VR Mega Pack 2019 w/ Astro Bot, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7, Everybody’s Golf VR & PS VR Worlds – £209.99 (Amazon, Smyths, ShopTo)

  1. Game are also giving away a 1 month Now TV Sky Cinema Pass if you spend £20 or more. May be worth spending £20 (perhaps on some PSN credit or something they still haven’t worked out how to charge more than everywhere else for) and have some films to watch over Christmas in glorious 720p. Presumably they’re hoping people will forget to cancel it after the month, so don’t do that.
