Games bundled with consoles count towards the UK sales charts so it is no surprise to see some older titles returning to the top ten, namely Sea of Thieves and Minecraft: Xbox Edition, both of which were included in multiple discounted Xbox bundles.
Sony’s bundle games are mostly absent from the top ten bu their packs did include Call of Duty and FIFA 20 which claim the first and second spots. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order saw a sales increase compared to last year, again this was bundled with and Xbox One, but the title dropped to third place.
In fact it was a bumper week for games with every single title seeing a boost in sales compared to last week. Just outside the top ten a bunch of PlayStation VR games charted thanks to price cuts to the headset. PlayStation VR Worlds (No.14), Astro Bot Rescue Mission (No.18), Skyrim VR (No.20), Resident Evil 7 (No.23) and Everybody’s Golf VR (No.25) all return to the top forty.
Despite increasing sales some big games took a tumble, Death Stranding feel from No.13 to No.31, and Grand Theft Auto V fell from No.19 to No.32, surely it’s lowest placement for a good few years.
Here is the UKIE/GfK Top Ten for the week ending November 30th:
