Bandai Namco has unveiled two additional fighters that will be available in Tekken 7’s season 3 pass, with the reveals occurring during the Tekken World Tour Finals in Bangkok. A total of three trailers were released including at another look at Leroy Smith, who was revealed back in August. His trailer has a pretty fast-paced song attached to it, and it is, in my opinion, a bit of a banger.
Joining both Leroy Smith and Zafina in season 3 first off is a returning character who was in Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 5, Tekken 6 and both Tekken Tag Tournament games. Can you guess? The answer is Ganryu. In his trailer Ganryu is all about streaming and showing his fan love for Julia. It’s a bit of a comedic trailer compared to Leroy Smith’s, but there is combat which shows Ganryu’s sumo skils which shouldn’t be underestimated.
Finally, there’s a new contender entering the world of Tekken and he seems to have been created by the military. Muay Thai expert Fahkumram rounds out the characters in season 3 of Tekken 7. In his trailer Marduk is the target but there is a bit of a weird shift. When the two first fact off Fahkumram towers over Marduk but when it switches to gameplay they are the same height. The shrinking is unexplained. Maybe Fahkumram was cold.
Leroy Smith and Ganryu are scheduled to be released during winter while Fahkumram will be released in Spring 2020. If you’re yet to play Tekken 7 here’s what Dave wrote in his review:
Tekken 7 is a phenomenal fighting game experience and one I’d highly recommend. It’s by no means perfect, as the game is not without a few technical issues online, some long loading times, and minor continuity errors, yet as far as most people will be concerned, it delivers a stunning, up-to-date fighting game experience from one of the masters of arcade fighting games. A solid return to form.
