The Division 2 is offline for maintenance

Update: game servers are now back online across all platforms.

Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division 2 servers are down for maintenance this morning but they’ll be back up and running shortly.

If you were looking forward to a Friday morning romp through Washington D.C (or maybe Coney Island?) then you’ll need to delay those plans by a few hours.

Developer Massive will be carrying out scheduled maintenance from 03:30 AM EDT (08.30 AM UK time) for an estimated three hours. This will affect all platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

10 big changes coming in The Division 2: Warlords of New York

Last week marked a handful of major milestones for The Division 2, including the launch of its third free expansion, “Episode 3: Coney Island – The Hunt”. If you hadn’t guessed from the title, this latest content drop takes Agents back to New York City where the original game took place.

Alongside Episode 3 came Title Update 7 with a raft of improvements to the game, just a few weeks before its first anniversary. You can read the full Title Update 7 patch notes with some highlights including the sequel’s sixth specialization, the Firewall.

Specializations are The Division 2’s elite classes unlocked after hitting the level cap, each with their own unique weapon and skill trees. What sets the Firewall apart is their K-8 Jetstream Flamethrower which comes paired with a Striker Shield. Episode 3 also comes tagged with two whole new areas to explore, new assignments, and of course, new loot.

Last week also saw the announcement of Warlords of New York, a premium expansion planned for next month. This new chapter in The Division saga will deploy Agents in lower Manhattan as they go after big bad Aaron Keener and his band of so-called Warlords. The DLC boasts a wealth of new features including an increased level cap, new skills, and a much wider spread of endgame activities.
