Bungie has announced a major event that will be happening when Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy kicks off on March 13th. That event will be the return of the Trials of Osiris, the 3v3 PvP mode which will also bring back maps like Cauldron, Exodus Blue and Anomaly, as well as weapons and armour from the original Destiny.
In a statement Production Director Justin Truman said:
“We kept hearing the players talking about it, we were also feeling it amongst ourselves, I can’t wait to bring back a version of the Trials that I actually remembered from Destiny 1.”
According to the development video above Bungie has been working on bringing back Trials of Osiris for a while, looking on ways to improve it while also making sure it is balanced when it releases. It will not be an easy mode to take part in with confirmation that power level will be enabled, so the better stats you have there the better. So that may actually affect the balance between players somewhat. Trials of Osiris will be a pinnacle PvP event and will run over weekends. Aside from Trials of Osiris, there is not a lot of details yet of what will be featured in Season of the Worthy.
