Square Enix and People Can Fly have announced an Outriders Broadcast that will be taking place on May 28th. The announcement came via a short teaser trailer that showed snippets of interviews and gameplay. This broadcast will not be a one-off either as it was confirmed that the Outriders Broadcast will be a monthly event with more details given about the game each time. The first episode has been titled Built for the Core.
The broadcast’s description reads:
The Outriders Broadcast is a monthly show that deep dives into the various features of the dark and desperate Outriders universe. Broadcast 1, titled ‘Built for the Core’ features brand-new gameplay, new areas, never before seen powers, character class deep dives, development updates straight from the team, and more.
Outriders allows players to play alone or in a group of up to three players as they journey across Enoch in search of the source of a signal. Along the way players will have to contend with different factions all of which are trying to survive the harsh reality of the planet after the people’s more advanced technology stopped working following the Anomaly event, essentially cutting them off from Earth. People Can FLy has stated it has created 200 years of lore for the game, ranging from 2009 to 2209. The player’s character will be someone who wakes up 30 years after the original settlers woke up and they will find a world already divided among different ideological lines as humans adapt to their new home.
Outriders was originally scheduled for summer 2020 but now a release of Holiday 2020 is expected. Outriders has been confirmed for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Anyone who pre-orders the title will get an upgrade to the deluxe edition for no extra cost. That version includes:
- The Hell’s Rangers Male and Female Gear Sets
- The Hell’s Rangers Arsenal of 11 unique Guns
- The Hell’s Rangers Truck Mods and Decals
