CD Projekt Red have posted a press release for Cyberpunk 2077 which stated the game will be coming to Google’s Stadia but it will not launch at the same time as the console and PC versions.
“Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on 17 September 2020 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4,” the press release read, “By the end of the year the game will also make its debut on Google Stadia.”
However, it seems they might have jumped the gun announcing that news as the press release has now been removed.
CD Projekt Red have also postponed their Night City Wire stream for Cyberpunk 2077, issuing a brief statement of support for the protests currently taking place across America and throughout the world. Originally scheduled for 12th June, which would have put it right in the middle of the replacement streams set up after the cancellation of E3 this year, it’s now been pushed back to 25th June.
We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.

Whenever it does occur, the showcase will hopefully give us a new look at different parts of the game to what we’ve seen before. Previous looks at Cyberpunk 2077 have given insight into Solo Strong and Netrunner character builds, and the reveal of Keanu Reeves playing the significant character Johnny Silverhand along with a cinematic trailer. There has also been talk of a multiplayer element to Cyberpunk 2077 but that is not likely to be released before 2022, so it is unlikely CD Projekt RED will be looking to announce anything regarding that. Then again, that could be dropped as a surprise announcement to really drum up some more hype for what is already a highly anticipated title.
What we do know is that you will be able to customise your genitals, “customization can include depictions of breasts, buttocks, and genitalia, as well as various sizes and combinations of genitals,” states the ESRB rating which also reveals you the sexual content.
Players can encounter events where they have the option to engage in sexual activities with other main characters or prostitutes—these brief sex scenes (from a first-person perspective) depict partially nude characters moaning suggestively while moving through various positions. Some scenes contain brief depictions of thrusting motions; other scenes depict a character’s head moving towards a partner’s crotch.
There are also drug references, alcohol and drink-driving, very naughty swear words that would make your grandma blush, and lots of violence. “During one quest, players assist a character by hammering nails through his hands and feet.”
