Budget Cuts PSVR release delayed until September, new Panopticon level revealed

Neat Corporation has confirmed that it is delaying the release of Budget Cuts for PSVR with the new date set for September 25th, as the studio continues to implement features and new levels into the game. One of those new levels is Panopticon and it has been designed with PSVR in mind. In the new level players have a central goal to reach but the environment is quite open allowing players to experiment with different ways of approaching, be that through stealth or through using force against the enemies that will try and stop you from reaching the goal. Some screenshots of the Panopticon level have been released, including a look at the layout.

In Budget Cuts players will travel through factories, offices, mail rooms, and other locations to try and survive. The game will also feature an Arcade mode that will bring additional levels into Budget Cuts for players to check out. We did not review Budget Cuts when it originally released for PC, but we have reviewed the sequel Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency. In that review, Jason wrote:

Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency is an excellent addition to the Budget Cuts universe, one which well and truly builds on the original in every way. The new tools add in plenty of new strategies and the stealth gameplay is just as good as it was in the first game. The levels have a bit more variety now too, which should be a nice change for anyone who works in an office in real life. It could have done with a slightly longer tutorial for brand-new players, but aside from that, it’s a great addition to anyone’s VR library.
